Semi-Frameless / Frameless Doors

          Doors may be Semi-Framless or frameless. Semi-Framless doors have aluminum framing on  hinged side  of the door and perimeter.Up grade your semi-frmaless with notch panels and butt glaze the corners to give a more opened look. Frameless have none. On frameless doors, thehandles and hinges are mounted directly through the glass rather than being attached to the frames. Frameless doors have the advantage of giving a room a larger, more open feeling, and are easier to clean. Frameless shower enclosures allow you to choose a variety of obscured  glass patterns for privacy, or choose clear glass to showcase decorative tile or marble.

Because they lack the protection of metal framework, they are usually made of thicker, heavier glass (3/8" to 1/2" vs. 3/16" to 1/4"on framed doors); this gives a feeling of luxury and durability. When the doors have mounted side panels, those panels are often framed even when the door is not.

Glass can be quite fragile, however through the tempering process it becomes safety glass, which is very durable & difficult to break.

This is a new product from Guardian Glass where they have created a permanent coating on the glass to eliminate the buildup of grime and water spots over time. Caution, this does not eliminate the need to clean your glass but you will have a beautiful product for years to come. We are stocking this product in1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” thicknesses.

Heavy Glass Made Simple.

           The newest and most innovative product to become available from E.C.G.I. is the  Pivot Door System for 3/8" glass. It can be used with 1/2" glass too.

Designed with simplicity in mind, this system is more cost effective than any other heavy glass system in the market place.

Clamp on hardware drastically reduces the costs of glass fabrication while securely holding glass in place to create a clean, versatile system. Self-centering action is accomplished with a unique base plate that utilizes the weight and turning motion of the door. The base plate is available in white, black, gray and beige.

This new versatile hardware can be installed as a wall mount, from floor-to-ceiling or in a standard header configuration. It can also be configured as a standalone door or with a variety of fixed, in-line and return panels.

The Pivot System is available in Silver, Gold, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Brushed Nickel. It can also be powder coated to match any color sample  that you provide .
